Conscious parenting is a philosophy that revolves around being present, aware, and intentional in our interactions regardless of their age. It involves a deep understanding of our own emotions, triggers, and behaviors, and how they can impact our children. This approach emphasizes fostering a strong, empathetic connection with our children, encouraging their emotional intelligence, and guiding them through life's challenges with love and understanding.
In this blog post, we will explore healthy boundaries, why they're important, warning signs to be aware of, and why children must understand the difference between healthy boundaries and unhealthy situations.

Christmas is a time for sharing, giving and celebration, a time for family to gather together drink, sing, eat and be merry. It's a time for our children to feel cherished, to learn the importance of giving and to create those lifelong memories. It's a way to show those you love and care about that you know them and value them. Traditions are a way to make memories that don't have to break the bank or add extra financial pressure but can be even more important and special then those big expensive gifts that will be long forgotten about in a few weeks.
Magnesium is essential for the development and maintenance of healthy bones and teeth. It works in conjunction with calcium and vitamin D to support bone density, preventing conditions like osteoporosis. Encourage your family to consume magnesium-rich foods for optimal bone health.
We begin by telling ourselves this is it!! I'm gonna change my whole life, I'm gonna fit into those favourite pair of jeans I wore way before I had kids and I can't bring myself to part with but can't even squeeze my thighs into now, I'm gonna jog 5km every morning (although I'm not even sure I've ever walked 5km) or how far that even is, I'm going to organise my whole house and it's never going to be a mess again. And then you don't reach all those unreachable targets you've set for yourself after that first day or one piece of lettuce and a brisk walk or the children pulling out every item of clothing to find that one piece they want and leaving your freshly organised draws in a pile on the floor, so you comfort yourself with a packet of biscuits or your favourite take away and then beat yourself up for a week about getting back on the diet, being fit and put together perfectly at all times, or the Queen of clean and it just becomes a never-ending spiral.
DIET... A word we all dread and most look at as punishment... But your "diet" is vital at a time when your health is your wealth.
Us moms are so much more than just Mom. We are unpaid chefs for extremely honest and fussy clients, taxi drivers, referees, managers, cleaners, entertainers, sleep trainers/coaches, problem solvers, toilet trainers, milk machines or snack machines, multitaskers, finders of all things lost, leaders, storytellers, nurses, hugs and kisses, teachers, and a million other things that we are not even sure we are qualified for. But we do them every day regardless, with zero appreciation, days off, or even recognition unless of course we forgot to do something.
It’s nice to have the routine back and settle in for those dark evenings, I love the Autum the wooly jumper seasons. Iam definitely a sun baby and I can’t stand the damp and rain that sticks in your bones during the winter. That being said there is something about this time of year and the crisp fresh air, the colours change from bright and light to oranges and golds that reflect some of the most bed sunsets you will ever experience. I love nothing more than “fire lighting, warm stew, cosy blankets and good book kind of weather!
